Bechukotai  Leviticus 26:3–27:34

G‑d promises that if the people of Israel will walk in his statutes and keep His commandments, they will enjoy blessings that speak material comfort and physical security in their land.

Is it really all about physical blessings in our lives?

What do the words”walk in his statutes”  ” reveal about the nature of those blessings?

But if you do not listen then HaShem warns ” warning of  exile, persecution and other evils that will befall them .

Why are the blessings brought about by “walking” and the curses by ” not listening”?

What insights can be leaned from the difference between “walking” and “listening”

Nevertheless, G-d says that he will never abandon His people and the covenat will be everlasting  for I am the L‑rd their G‑d.”

What hidden blessings are found in what seems to be a curse in verse 33 33. And I will scatter you among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword after you. Your land will be desolate, and your cities will be laid waste.”?

The Torah portion  concludes with the rules about different types of pledges made to G‑d, and about the commandments of  tithing produce and livestock.
