The mysterious threads of the ESTHER Tapestry
Tapestries are created out of myriads of threads of many colors and lengths. Each thread on its own is a unique and clear declaration. Yet when those threads are combined with others, incredible visions and vistas come to life.
Such is the fabric of our lives. Such is the fabric of Creation... Such is the fabric of Biblical narratives
Sometimes discovering those specific threads in some narratives are as revealing as the entire tapestry.
The Scroll of Esther is one of those narratives.
Those threads are hidden and exploring them reveals the inner eternal truth of The Scroll of Esther
These threads begin as questions about the Scroll of Esther narrative.
These include;
Why is it called Megillat Esther and not the Scroll of Hadassah?
Why does G-d’s name not appear throughout the entire text?
How does the ancient nation of Amalek play a critical role in the Esther narrative?
Why is the story of the king’s banquet described in such intricate detail? Is the description of the wine at the various feasts important?

Finally what are the eternal messages to be gleaned from the Scroll of Esther
—messages so important that we read:

Shalom Moshe and Dov. In Moshe’s most recent podcast there is a piece of art work beh8nd his head that looks like an olive tree menorah with the seven species as the branches. I would really like to purchase this.
In 2018, our group visited the shop. Rabbi Kempinski closed his doors in order to speak with us and
share his open heart with us. Even though all were Christians, I sensed the connection of his heart and mine.
I had just walked over after a time of prayer, reflection, and power at the Kotel. I had been to “my Father’s House.”
After our brief conversation, the rabbi gave me an incredible gift of a Magen David, which I treasure. I hope to return to Ereetz Yisrael
soon and sit with the rabbi again. He is an example of the incredible and mystical bond between those who truly
believe and follow in serving The Lord Our G-d.
